(And we have way too many abandoned group chats to prove it)
It started with a simple question: "Hey, who's actually coming to Bali?"
Followed by 47 unanswered messages across 3 different group chats, 2 abandoned WhatsApp groups, a forgotten Google Doc, and one very confused Airbnb host who thought we were a party of 12 (we were 4).
Sound familiar? Yeah, we thought so.
We realized that planning trips with friends shouldn't require a PhD in digital archaeology. So we built
Anniwhere
- a place where your travel plans actually stay organized, your friends actually respond (we hope), and you can finally prove you're a more experience traveller than your college roommate.
One app. One conversation. Zero abandoned group chats. Well, maybe just a few.
Because FOMO is real, and nobody wants to be the friend who missed out on that epic beach destination.
Your travel stats deserve better than a dusty Instagram highlight reel from 2019.
Average number of messages in a group chat before someone actually books a flight
Percentage of travel plans that start with "We should totally go to..."
Times you've said "Let's plan something soon" without actually planning anything
The answer to life, the universe, and how many countries you need to visit to win at life. At a minimum.
We're travelers who got tired of juggling 17 different apps just to plan one weekend trip. We wanted something that could handle everything: the planning chaos, the group drama ("Did Sarah actually book her flight?"), the inspiration, and yes, the bragging rights.
But more importantly, we believe that travel creates the best memories when you're with the right people. Those sunrise hikes, terrible hostel dinners, and getting hopelessly lost in a new city - they're all better when you can turn to someone and say, "Are you seeing this?"
So we built Anniwhere to make it stupidly easy to turn those "we should travel together" conversations into actual adventures. No more excuses. No more scattered planning. Just you, your friends, and the world.
Have you tried laughing so hard you cry with your best friends in a foreign country? That's the good stuff.
Not everything needs to be public. Share what you want, when you want, with who you want. We're not here to sell your data to travel agencies (but we might sell anonymized stats to researchers - gotta pay the bills somehow).
Backpackers, luxury travelers, weekend warriors, digital nomads, and that friend who only travels for food - you're all welcome here.
Travel planning is complicated enough. Our app shouldn't be. If your grandma can't figure it out, we've failed.
We're a small team of travelers, developers, and professional group chat abandoners who decided to actually build something instead of just complaining about existing apps.
(Actual team photos coming soon - we're all traveling right now, ironically)
Join thousands of travelers who are actually making those trip plans happen.
No credit card required. No commitment. Just you and your next adventure.
